When we ask people who have never volunteered before to explore their motivations as to why they want to volunteer? The most popular responses are "I want to be able to give something back" or "I wanted to do something to help" and "I want to make a difference"
We ask everyone the same question after they have started on their volunteering journey in whatever capacity they are contributing and the response is usually a little different "I got so much more out of it than I could ever have given" to "It has changed how I look at things" and "It has made me a stronger person and taught me so much about myself that I did not already know.", to "it is nice to be passionate about something so real"
